Issue: Sometimes users are unable to click "allow" on the Adobe Flash Player Settings pop-up or interact with other flash content in an Adobe Connect meeting like the chat, muting/unmuting the microphone, or responding to polls.
Resolution: This usually has to do with an out of date flash player or default flash player settings that are preventing you from being able to fully interact with flash content. Beyond updating your flash player you may also need to change the settings to "allow" or "ask" for the Adobe Connect website.
1. To access your Flash Player settings, right-click (Ctrl+click on a Mac) anywhere inside the Adobe Connect room.
2. You will have access to the settings via two options, as shown below.
3. Under "Settings" you can access the allow or deny privacy settings. Click "allow" or click "tab" until you get to allow then click enter.
4. Under "Global Settings" you can select "Camera and Mic" and then the button for "settings by site". Be sure that "columbia.adobeconnect.com" is visible on the list and that it is set to "ask" or "allow". If you are having an issue where you can't mute or unmute your microphone trying changing this setting from allow to ask or vis versa. Log out and back into Adobe Connect and that should resolve your issue.
